John’s passion for creating art grew from working in the publishing industry for many years, doing layout, typography, and designing covers for consumer and business magazines.

He has taken art classes at Central and Danforth Tech in portrait, life drawing, sculpture and painting. Since retirement, he has enjoyed portraying the human form through painting and sculpture.

“To choose between sculpture and painting would be very difficult. Both offer outlets of expression that I find very exciting.”
