Tanya Fenkell has loved visual arts and craft for her entire life. She grew up in an artistic family and went on to focus on literary studies in university. She holds a BA from McGill University and an MA from the University of Toronto, both in English Literature, as well as a MIS from the University of Toronto. She is currently spending most of her energy raising three sons, prior to which she worked as a Photo Librarian at The Globe and Mail. More recently, she was co-owner/designer for Cloud Cashmere, a collection of luxury knits for women and children. In her art, she mainly uses watercolours and graphite. She has practised and studied various fibre arts and crafts throughout her life, including knitting, sewing, embroidery and bookbinding; she now teaches knitting as well. In her spare time, she is a voracious reader, writer and early morning runner.
